What Base 65 is

An estimating tool. It counts heating degree days from public weather records and applies the degree-day method to bills you enter. Its figures are estimates, not a bill, a quote, an energy audit or advice about your heating system. Your utility or fuel dealer's bill is what you pay.

Your Bill Book

You are responsible for keeping your Bill Book's private link. Anyone with it can open and change the book; the site cannot recover a lost link. Do not put anything in a book that you would not want someone with the link to see.

Fair use

Requests are rate-limited per address. Do not scrape the site or try to open books that are not yours.

Prices

The tools are free. The Pass will cost $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year when checkout opens; until then it is free during preview and nothing can be charged. A Pass will renew until cancelled; cancelling will stop the next renewal, and the Pass will run to the end of the period paid for. Questions or cancelling: https://weldonpc.com/contact.

Data and availability

Weather data come from NOAA (normals) and from NWS/FAA stations through the Iowa Environmental Mesonet (daily readings). Readings can be late, missing or revised, and the site can be down for maintenance. Base 65 is provided as is.
